An overview of our Mediterranean odyssey
THE OPPORTUNITY
Chartering a Privilège 510 catamaran provides a unique opportunity to sail the Greek islands on a customizable itinerary through the months of August and September 2025. Destination Unknown is the only Privilège 510 available for charter in Europe. Sailing onboard Destination Unknown affords a rare insight into the premium sailing performance and comfort of arguably the best luxury 50’ catamaran currently on the market.
Whether you have already purchased a Privilège or are waiting for delivery, chartering Destination Unknown allows you to assess the fitout, sailplan, electronics and propulsion systems. It’s easier to customize and appoint your future yacht after experiencing an extended holiday voyage on one.
If you are exploring purchasing a Privilège catamaran, experiencing an extended holiday voyage on Destination Unknown with friends or family is an excellent opportunity to assess the features and performance offered by Privilège’s line of luxury catamarans.
THE ROUTE
Its fair to say that no other charter yacht in Greece is capable of offering guests the same ‘5 Star’ experience in 2025 as Destination Unknown.
Anticipate starting your adventure in the Dodecanese Islands of the Aegean Sea in late July 2025. We will make our way west through the Cyclades Islands, and explore the Peloponnese Peninsula, heading north through the Ionian islands and onto Corfu. Ultimately, we end in Montenegro at the end of September 2025.
Our route is not fixed, we merely have a start and end point with ample opportunity and time for many adventures and customizations in between. Guests are encouraged to participate in route planning if they wish. The captain will accomodate guests wishes within the boundary of the reasonableness, safety and weather.
(Please note, if the August-September 2025 timeframe does not work for your schedule, please inquire about a possible early season trip from Montenegro to Corfu in early May 2025).
THE CHARTER
Guests have two months to sail from the east Aegean sea to Montenegro. You may book Destination Unknown for the entire two months, or a portion thereof depending on prior bookings.
This one-of-a-kind, exclusive experience is normally only enjoyed by those who own their own yacht. Destination Unknown has a full-time, highly-experienced sailing instructor/professional captain. No matter your sailing level, experience or appetite for involvement in operating the vessel, you will have a safe and enjoyable time aboard Destination Unknown.
You have the option and opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of sailing and managing the yacht, treating it as part holiday/part learning experience or just sitting back and experiencing crusing the Greek Islands at a leisurely pace in the hands of an able captain.
ONBOARD
Destination Unknown has the Privilège three cabin configuration with a sumptuous forward owner’s cabin and two double aft full en-suite cabins. The crew occupies one of the aft en-suite cabins, so charters on Destination Unknown are suitable for four guests, whether a family of four or two couples.
Privilège understands maximization of luxury and comfort without compromising sailing performance, so Destination Unknowns starts with a comfortable and well-thought out layout, including kitchen galley, pantry, extra refrigerators and freezers and on-board laundry. Additionally, the yacht has been fastidiously appointed by the owner with every comfort and convenience conceivable for a 50’ luxury catamaran to support a laid-back, but active lifestyle on extended maritime adventures. Among many other conveniences, the owner added a barista coffee machine, scuba and snorkel gear, SUPs, fitness accessories. Life on-board is very comfortable.
Guests can tailor their experience on this leisurely voyage. Generally, charters on Destination Unknown are self-catering with everyone onboard sharing meal preparation and general duties onboard. A chef/steward can be hired upon request.
YOUR CAPTAIN
Jonathan Ross, seasoned sailing instructor/professional captain with a career spanning 40 years, is your captain. Jonathan’s relationship with Destination Unknown started in Les Sable d’Olonne before Destination Unknown left the shipyard. He spent two months overseeing the final fitout, provisioning of all the equipment, sea trials and final commissioning of the yacht.
With the owner onboard for it’s maiden voyage, Jonathan captained Destination Unknown on a 3500Nm, three month journey from France’s Atlantic coast, past Portugal, through the Straits of Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean. From there it was onto the Balearic islands of Spain, Sardinia, the Aeolian islands off Sicily, through the Straits of Messina and then to the Ionian islands of Greece. We then sailed north to Corfu, Croatia and finally Montenegro.
Jonathan is ideally situated to help you with questions you may have about a Privilège catamaran. Note: If you would like to view the image gallery of the fitout and maiden voyage, click here )
If you are not an experienced sailor, a charter on Destination Unknown presents a wonderful opportunity for a hands-on sailing experience and tuition while enjoying a truly unique sailing holiday.
